Meta-Tex B: Braided Flame Resistant Sleeving
Atlantex is proud to announce the release of our latest and greatest protective sleeve: Meta-Tex B. This braided meta-aramid protective sleeve shields critical systems from the damaging effects of direct flame, high heat, radiation, and mechanical wear. Meta-Tex B is manufactured with DuPont™ Nomex® meta-aramid fiber in our Downingtown, PA production facility. The wide operating temperature range, impressive resistivity and stability, low-profile, and light weight made Meta-Tex B sleeving an ideal protective solution for many critical systems, including:
- Wiring harnesses
- Hoses of all types
- Cables
- Tubing
- Conduit
- Sensors
Meta-Tex B is extremely lightweight and low-profile, making it an idea sleeving solution for a range of applications and industries, including performance automotive, defense equipment, fuel / oil / chemical lines, fire protection components, OEM assemblies, and all types of hose. The smooth finish allows for easy installation, and no special tools are required for use. Meta-Tex B remains stable, flexible, and high-performing across a wide range of operating temperatures, providing protection in cryogenic applications and direct-flame scenarios.
The cutting-edge meta-aramid fiber used to manufacture Meta-Tex B resists direct flame and does not act as a fuel source to support combustion. Non-irritating aramid fibers are safely handled, and are free from asbestos and halogens. The soft jacketing protects against abrasion and mechanical wear, and helps to suppress noise generated through vibration. Our braiding process produces a full-coverage sleeve that is flexible and expandable, allowing for simple installation over connectors and a neat finish around tight radii.
